F-16AM Fighting Falcon No. 322 Sqn "Don't Prattle" KLu Leeuwarden AB Fine Art Aircraft Profile Prints

Following the fall of the Low Countries at the beginning of WW2, many surviving Dutch pilots escaped to England and form No. 322 Sqn (Dutch) within the RAF. Following the war, the squadron was reconstituted as part of the Dutch Army Fighter Division.
In 1980, 322 Sqn converted to the F-16A Block 15 which was licensed built in Holland by Fokker. In 1995, many of those jets were upgraded to Block 20 standards with the MLU (Mid Life Upgrade). These jets gained many capabilities of the USAF Block 50 including radar missile capability, a beefed-up intake structure allowing targeting pods to be carried Stations 5A and 5B, embedded GPS, an air-to-air interrogator, and the updated “C Model” cockpit.
J-167, shown based at Leeuwarden Air Base, began life as a Block 15X jet, and was assigned to No 322 Squadron who’s motto is “Deeds not Words.” The squadron is tasked with both Air Defense and Surface Attack duties and their jets proudly wear “Polly” the African Grey Parrot squadron mascot on their tail. No. 322 participates in NATO taskings as well as air intercepts over the North Sea.
