Eglin’s 40 FTS “Red Devils” are a relatively unique squadron tasked with testing systems, weapons, and missions using a variety of different aircraft types.
One of their missions is testing of new missiles and their integration onto operational aircraft. In the print, an F-16A is shown ready for an AIM-120 test sortie with the jet carrying a pair of AMRAAM’s on her wingtips and four AIM-9M’s on underwing stations 2, 3, 7, and 8.
